Winter Storm A.M Update

Good morning Northern Michigan,

Our forecast have been almost exactly on track. We have actually beat our morning snow totals.. We forecasted 6"inches in some spots by 8A.M I just went outside and took an average of the snow amounts and we are about 7 1/2 inches here. So we are straight on track for our 14 inches forecast.

Now we have seen a ton of school closings and delays. You can check those out at http://dylansweather.googlepages.com/info

Now about the forecast.. I am expecting really some more snow showers after this whole thing is done..We also could have some good winds start to develop and that could cause some small blowing which would make the roads even worse..they are already bad.

Really there are no bad storms in the forecast the rest of the week. The GFS model is saying that there could be a very nasty snow storm for Sunday into Monday...This could be a very nasty mixed snow storm..Our temperatures are looking like they could be in the 30's...Which means ice

I'll have another Afternoon Update..Stay Tuned

Hi Dylan. It's starting to wind down over on my side of the Lake. It's still snowing, but it's light and the radar suggests it won't be long until is stops. Seems you did a good job with this one, good luck on getting to your storm total forecast of 14". Enjoy! :)

If interested I have followed the storm via my measurements and have described each of them on my blog.
